Zines We've Made!

At Coin-Operated Press, collaboration sits at the heart of everything we do. Each month, we invite creatives from all over the world to contribute to a new themed zine, creating a shared platform that celebrates creativity, community, and the power of many voices coming together. Our focus is on amplifying work that might otherwise go unseen, lifting up unsung voices and making space for stories that deserve to be heard.

 

Our themes move between the urgent and the uplifting, from causes close to our hearts to playful, joyful ideas that offer moments of light. We want to celebrate the nerds among us: the deep dives, the hyperfixations, the joyful obsessions. We encourage contributors to share what they love, to revel in fandom, and to bring their weird and wonderful knowledge to the page. The more niche, specific, and passionately explored, the better. 

 

Rooted in intersectional feminist values, we are especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ communities and people living with chronic illness and disabilities, while actively welcoming contributors of all genders, sexualities, ages, races, abilities, and backgrounds. Zine culture thrives on diversity, and so do we. Whether you’re an experienced artist or trying something new for the first time, our zines are open to you. This is a space to share, experiment, and be seen. At Coin-Operated Press, it’s your voice that matters.

 

Each month, we share an open call across our social media platforms, inviting anyone and everyone to submit work in response to that month’s theme. We gather these contributions and thoughtfully curate them into a collaborative zine, bringing together a wide range of voices, styles, and perspectives. Each issue is unified with an illustrated cover by Chloe, designed to tie the theme together and give each zine its own distinct identity. The finished zines are then available in both print and digital PDF formats through our online shop, as well as at the events we table at and through our wonderful stockists.
