WE WANT YOUR ZINES IN THE COIN-OPERATED PRESS DISTRO!!!

 

Do you make zines?

 

Coin-Operated Press wants to sell them in our zine distro!

 

We will sell your zines through our online store and in person while tabling at different zine fairs, markets, and events. 

 

We sell your zines at the retail price that you set, and we will buy your zines up-front at a wholesale price - typically with a 20%-60% commission rate as decided by you. We will generally buy an initial order of 3-10 zines and may ask for more zines in the future, depending on how well they are received by our audience.

 

We are super open to all kinds of zines on all topics and from all genres, as well as in any format or print type. Some of the zines we especially enjoy at Coin-Operated Press are focused on art, craft, comics, DIY culture, zines about zines, queer culture, feminism, activism, mental health, neurodivergence, chronic illness, the climate crisis, plants, nature, the ocean, animals, cats, D&D, fan-fics & fan-art, romance, fantasy, folklore, mythology, Scotland-local, and much more! 

 

In short, we want to engage with a diverse and creative mixture of zines and zine-makers in our Distro! As a Scottish social enterprise, we would especially like to encourage zine submissions from local Scottish zine-makers, as well as queer, trans, femme, disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent, BIPOC, and other minority groups, as we want to include the whole spectrum of human experiences in our Zine Distro.

We typically go over submissions every couple of weeks, so we would aim to get back to you within 1-3 weeks of your submission.
