Introduction to Blackout Poetry: Destruction & Re-Creation

In this workshop we will explore the art of blackout poetry, turning pre-existing texts into new pieces of art with only a marker pen. The first half of the workshop will feature introductory exercises to familiarize attendees with the basics of making a blackout poem. The second half will be opened up to allow our budding poets freedom to explore their new skills, including defacing any texts they’re excited to destroy.
